Escape to Blairsville, Georgia and enjoy a weekend getaway in the Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. There are many activities in the area, take a day hiking to nearby waterfalls or horseback riding on forested trails in the Chattahoochee National Forest.  Spend a day on the course, at one of the local wineries, or dine at one of the many fantastic local restaurants.


Golfing

The best golf courses in the entire state of Georgia are found in the north Georgia Mountains. The Blue Ridge and Tusquitee Mountain ranges create the perfect backdrop for a day on the links, so grab the clubs and take in a round of awe-inspiring golf on one of the several challenging courses in the area.

Horseback Riding

Horseback riding is a very popular activity in the area with the thousands of wooded acres, streams, meadows and valleys for your riding experience. Several stables in the area give guided trail rides and you can even find pony rides for the kids.

Rafting/Kayaking/Canoeing/Tubing

Enjoy a day canoeing on the lake or spend a great afternoon of tubing on the Chattahoochee River. Several outfitters in the area will have the entire family floating down the river in no time.

Hiking/Biking

The Appalachian Trail runs directly through our area and is typically a stopover point for those hiking the trail. There are varying opportunities for hiking ranging from easy to strenuous. Bikers will fall in love with this region while enjoying the beauty along the Brasstown Scenic Byway, Dahlonega “Six Gap” Classic, the Helen Ramble or one of the area’s other favorite biking destinations.

Wineries

This area is considered the wine belt of Georgia. Here you will find dozens of vineyards and wineries. Spend a weekend exploring all the different kinds of wines offered in the region.

Waterfalls

This region is known for magnificent waterfalls, however, only a few are visible from the roadways or parking areas. Only a small walk or hike is required to enjoy in the delight of the cascading water. You could even take a dip in the water if it’s not too cold.

Antiques/Shopping/Dining

Here you will find antique stores displaying the work of many well known painters, sculptors, and potters along with the colorful array of Appalachian folk art. After a long day of shopping, relax at one of the many fine restaurants the area has to offer.
